Contributed by: Alicia Gonzalez on 2/15/2008

On Monday, March 24, approximately 144 golfers will tee-off at the Woodland Hills Country Club, 21150 Dumetz Road, in order to raise funds for White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Foundation events such as the golf classic help the hospital continue to offer excellent quality medical care to the communities east of downtown Los Angeles.

White Memorial Medical Center is a non-profit, full-service, 354-bed teaching hospital committed to improving the community's health by providing high quality, comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services.

Known for outstanding women's, children's, emergency, orthopedics, vascular care, rehabilitation, cancer, cardiac and diabetes services, it's the largest faith-based, private provider of health services in our primary service area.

Participants in the hospital's golf classic will feature hospital staff, physicians, local community and business leaders.

The golf classic will feature contests, driving range,BBQ lunch and awards banquet.

Registration will begin at 10 a.m. and tournament will start at 11:30 a.m.

For more information on how to support the hospital's fundraising efforts or to register for the event, call 323-260-5739, ext. 8.

Underwriters of the event are Janzen, Johnston & Rockwell and TELACU.
