Free classes offered for seniors

The Glendale Community College Lifelong Learning Seminars program for seniors offers a wide range of free classes during the fall semester.

The Lifelong Learning Seminars are held at locations throughout Glendale, including the Life Skills Building at the college's main campus off Mountain Street near the Glendale (2) freeway; the Professional Development Center in Montrose, 2340 Honolulu Ave.; Pacific Park at 501 S. Pacific; and Sparr Heights Community Center, 1613 Glencoe.

Courses may be entered at any time during the semester, which ends Dec. 17.

Seminars include discussion classes such as "Quality of Life" and "Contemporary World Affairs" and history classes including "Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt" and "Art History."

Fitness classes include "Health Through Aerobics" and "Health and Exercise." "Self Discovery Via Writing" and "Quiltmaking" are also among the many classes available.

Registration can be done online or in the classroom at any class meeting.
