Free summer classes offered for seniors

The Glendale Community College Lifelong Learning Seminars program for mature adults will offer summer classes beginning the week of June 16.

A health and exercise class will meet from 9:30-noon Mondays and Wednesdays.

An aerobic line dance class will meet from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Fridays.

These classes are held at Pacific Park Community Center, 501 S. Pacific Ave.

A watercolor class will meet from 1-3 p.m. Thursdays, an oil painting class will meet from 12:30-3 p.m. Tuesdays, a sketching class will meet from 9:30 a.m.-noon Tuesdays and a philosophy and ethics class will meet from 1-3 p.m. Fridays.

These classes will meet at the Sparr Heights Community Center, located at 1613 Glencoe.

A Pilates/stress reduction class will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. Thursdays at the Adult Recreation Center, 201 E. Colorado.

A film criticism class will meet from 1-3 p.m. Wednesdays and an art history class will meet from 1-3 p.m. Mondays at the Professional Development Center, 2340 Honolulu in Montrose.

All of the classes are free. Registration takes place in the classroom at any class meeting.
