Lifelong Learning classes held for seniors

The Glendale Community College Lifelong Learning Seminars program for seniors offers a wide range of free classes in the upcoming spring semester that begins Tuesday, Feb. 19.

The Lifelong Learning Seminars are held at locations throughout Glendale, including the Life Skills Building at the college's main campus off Mountain St. near the Glendale (2) freeway; the Professional Development Center in Montrose at 2340 Honolulu Ave.; Southern California Presbyterian Homes, 516 Burchett; and Sparr Heights Community Center at 1613 Glencoe.

Courses are open entry/open exit and may be entered at any time during the semester, which ends June 11.

Seminars include discussion classes such as "Joy of Living," film criticism, contemporary novels and philosophy and ethics.

Arts and crafts classes are offered including dress making, creative stitchery, beginning and advanced sketching and water color.

"Self-Discovery via Writing," art history and an improvisation workshop are also among the many classes available.

All of the classes are free.
