GCC holds Lifelong Learning seminars

The Glendale Community College Lifelong Learning seminars program for seniors offers a wide range of free classes during the current winter session.

The Lifelong Learning seminars are held at locations throughout Glendale, including: the life skills building at the college's main campus off Mountain Street near the Glendale freeway,Pacific Park at 501 S. Pacific,Maple Park at 820 E. Maple andSparr Heights Community Center at 1613 Glencoe.

Courses are currently open and may be entered at any time during the winter session, which ends Feb. 14.

Seminars include discussion classes such as quality of life,improving memory and contemporary world problems. Arts and crafts classes are alsooffered including dressmaking and watercolor painting.

Healthy living is promotedin classes on diet and nutrition, health and fitness for older adults and aerobic line dancing. Other classes include ancient civilizations and self-discovery via writing.

All of the classes are free.
