The vibrant costumes, sets and lighting of the opening Bazaar scene has the true "feel" of Arabia, and the talented Erica Hardy, as the lithe, exotic dancer Mahin, narrates the story with a flash and fire that the audience will find mesmerizing.

In this version, Aladdin (played by Will Fogarty) has two screwball sidekicks
( Patrick McMahon and Derek Houck) who really do more to hinder than help him in is pursuit of the lovely Princess Alyra ( Merissa Haddad).

And once released from his magic lamp by means of some wonderful pyrotechnics, the Genie (played by Jim Van Over) proves himself a "push over" for Aladdin's cause. He leads the threesome in several hysterical musical numbers that will have adults and kids nodding and rocking to the beat. And his amazing flying carpet is a hoot!

A unique and very compelling addition to the cast is Devin Ann Mugavero in her role as Harirah, the cat, a sleek and savvy companion to the princess. Her depiction of feline behavior is a marvel to watch, from her languid poses and rubbing against furniture, to her laugh-out-loud rendition of a coughing, wheezing cat expelling a hair ball. Hilarious!

But it is Andrew Villaverde as the villain Jahansah, who steals the scene whenever he is on stage. Tall and menacing, the greedy character does his best to obtain the magic lamp in order to have "all the power in the universe." When he tricks the Genie into granting a powerful wish, it looks as if the love between Aladdin and the Princess, as well as the future of the kingdom, is doomed.

Audiences will be amazed by the incredible special effects and the daring sword-fight choreography (complete with flashing, clanging scimitars) as the final battle between good and evil is fought. A must see!

Playing now through Nov. 10, every Saturday at 11 a.m. General admission is $11 for children, and $13 for adults.
