During this time of year, L.A. Animal Services' animal care centers are inundated with lost and homeless cats.
Many cats coming into our animal care centers are orphaned neonate kittens; kittens too young to survive without their mother unless they are cared for by a volunteer foster care giver.
L.A. Animal Services is asking Angelenos to consider becoming a volunteer foster parent today. All you need is a willingness and ability to feed and nurture these babies until they are old enough to be adopted.
Fostering orphaned kittens is a rewarding experience and great family project. It teaches ourchildren the value of life and the importance of caring and compassion.
It also demonstrates how we can all make a difference.

I recommend this wonderful, rewarding job. I did it for three 10-day-old kittens, raising them till they were 10 weeks, then found them loving homes. I loved every minute. They are so sweet.
