Be Kind to Animals Week Adoptathon May 6-13!
Contributed by: Miki Shaler on 5/4/2007

LA Animal Services announces Be Kind To Animals Week Adoptathon! From May 6 through May 13, in celebration of Be Kind To Animals Week, all adoption fees in all six LA City Animal Care Centers will be reduced by 50%!

In 2007, LA Animal Services is celebrating this 93-year tradition with a weeklong celebration of kindness and compassion by encouraging Angelenos to adopt a homeless dog, cat or rabbit. And to further attract adopters during this special week Dog Adoptions will be reduced on average to $45, Cat Adoption will be reduced on average to $38, and Rabbit Adoptions will be reduced on average to $25!

"There is no better way to celebrate Be Kind to Animals Week than to adopt a homeless dog, cat, or rabbit", said Ed Boks, general manager of LA Animal Services. "Hundreds of wonderful animals are waiting in our Centers to share their unconditional love with Angelenos looking for love and companionship."

Over the years, Be Kind to Animals Week has continued to grow and embed itself into the popular lexicon and the public's consciousness.

In Los Angeles, LA Animal Services is encouraging residents to do the kindest thing of all - give a loving home to an animal from one of our Animal Care Centers.
