Atwater Village Neighborhood Council will hold its third election from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Holy Trinity School Pavilion, 3716 Boyce Ave.
We want you to become a candidate. There are 14 open seats on the board. There are spots for two residents from north Atwater Village, two residents from the central area and two residents fromsouthern part of the community. Also, there are seats for two community group/non-profit representatives,two business representatives, two church/religion representatives, one school representative and one parks and recreation representative.

* Atwater Village Farmers Market , from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays in the Wells Fargo Bank Parking lot on Glendale Boulevard at Larga.
* Chevy Chase Recreation Center , 165 Chevy Chase Drive

•Cristo Rey Church, 4343 Perlita Ave.
•Luis Lopez Automotive, 2751 Fletcher Drive.
Candidate information sessions will be held On Jan. 18 and 23 at New Hope Chapel at 2861 Los Feliz Blvd. Los Angeles from 7-9 p.m. This will be a no write-in election. You must sign up as a candidate to be eligible for a seat.

The purpose of the Atwater Village Neighborhood Council is to participate as an advisory body on issues of concern to our neighborhood council and in the governance of the City of Los Angeles.
To be eligible to become a candidate, you must be a stakeholder. A stakeholder means any individual who lives, works or owns property in this neighborhood council area. In addition, stakeholders shall include the following in this neighborhood council area:
Homeowners, renters, property owners, business owners, employees of businesses, cultural institutions and their members, religious institutions and their members, service or community nonprofit organizations and their members, schools and their students, parks and recreation. With the exception of service or community nonprofit organizations, all stakeholder groups must have a physical location or operate within the AVNC boundaries or shared areas as described in these bylaws.
Service or community nonprofit organizations must either operate within the neighborhood council or include Atwater Village in its service area. Stakeholders shall have all rights and privileges, including the rights to vote and the right to hold office.
