Among other things, I'm an Ebay addict. One of my regular "searches" are for items pertaining to Glendale.
Most of the memorabilia-type items I find are related to Forest Lawn, schools or businesses.
But today I found what I consider to be a true treasure: a listing for a
fantastic, vintage postcard
depicting a gorgeous home nestled in Glendale's foothills.
The postmark dates it back to 1915.
I'm hoping someone with a knowledge of this area of Glendale can identify the home and post a comment back here as to where it is located and if it still resembles the image on the postcard.
Or, does it even still exist?
Opening bids started at $9.99 with $2 postage. The auction ended, with the card left unsold, on Sunday, April 22. It was viewed 39 times according to the page's hit counter.
The postcard seller is based in Dover, NJ.
