Shopping for a successful new school year
Contributed by: Kids Letters on 8/18/2008

TODAY'S TOPIC: We asked if you've started to shop for clothes and school supplies.

I would like to get a new lunch box because my lunch box is really dirty. I would like my lunch box to be light blue or pink. My backpack that I have now is pink so, I guess I have to get a pink lunch box. The first day of school, I am going to wear this lucky set of clothes. It is all pink. It is so cute. My favorite color is pink, as you can see. I can't wait till the first day of school.

I wore all black on the first day of school. I wore black pants, black shoes and a black shirt. I also had a black backpack with a black folder, crayons, a Superman wallet and a black lunch box. I like the color black.

I have already bought my school uniform because my school has a dress code. I have to buy many supplies for the new school year like pencils, pens, paper, highlighters, etc. .. I will not get a haircut before the school year and I will brown bag the entire year. The clothes I have already. I bought green polos, some random kind of brown pants and clothes for P.E.

For my first day of school, I will buy some new things like a new scarf, a blouse, socks, boots, skirt, dress, vest and a jacket to keep me warm. I will buy those at WalMart. I forgot, also a brown and pink, soft backpack with a music "toon" so I can hear it after school.

I don't have to buy new clothes (that's lucky for me). I wear uniforms that are perfect for me. I wear pretty comfortable uniforms, too. My school uniforms are in two parts. Elementary and middle schools have a choice of wearing white, light blue or navy blue (shirts). For the pants, we get to pick our own that are navy blue. The high school kids have a choice of red or gray shirts. For the pants, they are the same as the elementary and middle school. Nevertheless, on Fridays, it is different. The elementary and middle school girls have to wear a light blue skirt and a blouse with a tie and a cardigan. The boys, on the other hand, have to wear the same, except they wear navy blue pants and not a skirt. My family is still behind on buying our school supplies. We are still going to have to buy my supplies before school starts.

I have not started buying supplies but I would need to buy a lot of clothes and supplies because my supplies are old. I would buy flat erasers, cap erasers, pencils, a marker box and pens. Next is clothes. I'd buy tank tops, shoes, pants, skirts, friendship bracelets for my new friends and rubber bands for my hair. I'd bring a lunch in a lunch box that's new. It will be fun shopping!

I have started shopping for back-to-school clothes and supplies. I have to buy pencils, clothes and shoes. I don't really get a haircut before school, I get it anytime. I do have to buy a new lunch box and a skateboard because now that I'm older, I could go to school without using the car. I think I'll like all my new supplies for school.

I would buy clothes, paper, pens, a pencil case and even food and a lunch box. I would get a haircut, too, to look nice. I would buy books, shoes and socks.

I haven't started buying my supplies. I would start shopping for: book covers, new pencil, a new backpack, pens, markers and a highlighter. I would also bring extra paper, a notebook and a folder. I would buy a new lunch box because my old one got busted and it's falling apart. I would get a haircut. I would go to Office Max to buy my supplies. I would buy clothes that have cool things and pictures on them.
