Taking off for fun on school spring break!
Contributed by: Kids Letters on 3/17/2008

TODAY'S TOPIC: We asked what are your spring vacation plans?

The things I'm doing over spring break are I'm going to sleep, play video games, play soccer, walk my dog, celebrate my 11th birthday, talk on the phone, throw a Frisbee, watch TV and play laser tag. I'm going to have some friends over and stay up all night! Sleeping all day! I'll probably do more things, too, but I can't think of anything else.
Gareth Lloyd, 10
Live Oak Elementary
Castaic

One thing I'm going to do during spring break is probably go to the park, watch TV, play video games, read and take care of my baby brother. One thing for sure is that I'm going to have a great time.
Claudia de Niz, 11
Oxnard Street Elementary
North Hollywood

I'm going to spend my spring break playing with my friends and sleeping in. I'm going to stay up until midnight and sometimes I'm not going to fall asleep. Oh, yeah, I'm going to race for bikes, too!
Hunter Hull, 9
Township Elementary
Simi Valley

For spring vacation, I will go to my old day care and have a mud ball fight. It will be fun! Some of my friends make good mud balls.
Joel Santos, 8
Sacred Heart School
Lancaster

I plan to go visit my aunt. We are going to visit my aunt because we haven't gone there in five months. We like to visit there because it reminds us of Mexico because it is always quiet and no cars pass. We have also planned to go to Six Flags because it is not that far from Bakersfield.
Gaspar Ortega, 11
Oxnard Street Elementary
North Hollywood

For spring break I'm going to sleep over with my friend, Ingrid. I will also try to fly my kite. I also might try to go shopping at the mall.
Phoebe Brown, 11
Live Oak Elementary
Castaic

I go to my grandma's house on Easter. We crack confetti eggs on our cousins' heads. I also plan to tan in my backyard.
Gabby Velazquez, 9
Sacred Heart School
Lancaster

I'm going to have a slumber party for my amazing party extravaganza. I'm inviting over 20 people to my party. The day after my party, I'm going to one of the hottest places, the Mojave Desert and Palm Springs. Then I'm going to an Easter party. Oh, yay!
Baylee Baxter, 9
Township Elementary
Simi Valley

For spring break my dad is having a meeting so my dad, sister, mom, grandma and I are going to stay at a hotel and go to Disneyland. The next day we're going to a zoo. I haven't been to a zoo for a really long time. At Disneyland, I'm hoping to get wet. At the zoo, I want to see tigers, a lot of horses, monkeys, fish and birds. At Disneyland I want a lot of toys and ice cream.
Aiyah Obeid, 8
Sacred Heart School
Lancaster

I don't know what I'm going to do for spring break. I don't really have it planned out. All I want to do is kick back and relax with no school. I'm sure fun will just come to me.
Isaac Peyre, 9
Township Elementary
Simi Valley

What I'm going to do for spring break is go swimming, go to a wonderful spring camp and sit back and relax to keep that brain energy fresh. For swimming, I'm inviting friends over, for camp, I will play basketball and for relaxing, video games! I hope it will be a dream come true.
Nicholas Rood, 9
Township Elementary
Simi Valley

For the upcoming spring break, my dad and me are going to Las Vegas for two days. We are going in a Mustang. When we come back, we are going to see four-wheelers so my dad could buy one for my graduation.
Jorge Nuñez, 10
Oxnard Street Elementary
North Hollywood

For spring break I could do many things. I can swim, play with my friends, spend time with my dogs, sleep-overs, ride my horse and sleep in. It would be a blast. But then I would have to work on my biography on Shirley Temple Black. Oh, well. It will be fun.
Bailey Rossi, 10
Live Oak Elementary
Castaic

I'm going to play soccer with my dad. I'm going to read to my mom. I will read to my mom about Cinderella. When I play soccer with my dad, I'm going to ask him if I could call one of my friends.
Raudel Flores, 8
Fernangeles Elementary
Sun Valley

When I get a spring break from school I am going to go to Disneyland and I'm going to stay at a hotel because I have never been to a hotel. I think it might be a lot of fun staying at a hotel with your family. Only for one night, at least.
Maria Salazar, 11
Oxnard Street Elementary

Over Easter vacation I'm going to paint Easter eggs and hunt for eggs. I'm also going to shoot my BB gun and go to Edwards A.F.B. Then eat some of my candy.
George Rushlau, 9
Sacred Heart School

I'm not entirely sure what all the awesome things I'm going to do but I'm positive that I'm going to have a blast. First of all, I'm sure I'm going to have bundles of sleep-overs with my friends and go to a variety of theme parks. I am probably also going to go to the incredible beach once or twice and belly surf. I am also going to watch an incredible amount of TV and play lots of fantastic video games.
Tejas Sriram, 10
Township Elementary
Simi Valley

What am I doing? I'm waking up every morning at 8:30, like always, hop on my bike and going over to my big bro's house. Me and him will probably play our PS3. Then, as we always do, we'll go out front and race our bikes. But he's gonna be up for a challenge. I just fixed my old racing bike and put on new street tires, perfect for pavement! I'm gonna smoke him!
Michael Mendoza, 10
Live Oak Elementary

All my cousins and I are going to my grandparents' house for Easter vacation. We are going to have an Easter egg hunt over there. I will read "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" over Easter break.
Alex Maldonado, 8

The fun things I would do during spring break are to have an Easter party and play Easter games. The second thing I would do is go to the water park. The third thing I would do is invite a my friends over and have a water balloon fight!

Over spring break, I don't know what I'm going to do. But these are some of the things I could do. I could play my video games and play with my cousins. But if I could go somewhere, I would like to go to Sea World.
