Physicians Provide Free Skin Cancer, Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar Screenings

Partnership between two physicians benefits community. The doctors will be providing free skin cancer, blood pressure and blood sugar screenings to the community on Saturday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Mojgan Makhsoosi, MD, internal medicine physician on staff at Simi Valley Hospital, will be coordinating the screenings in her office - Aspen Outpatient Center, 2750 Sycamore Drive, Suite 209.

Shabnam Madani, MD, member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), will be performing the skin cancer screenings while Dr. Makhsoosi will be providing the blood pressure and blood sugar screenings, all of which are being provided at no cost.

Participants of the skin cancer screenings will be provided with a computer generated printout indicating their level of risk to skin cancer. Participants with suspicious lesions or growths will be provided with the name of a dermatologist for follow-up treatment.
