Glendale Adventist Medical Center will host a free lecture on the " Issues of Aging" from 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 14.
The lecture will be held in the hospital's main auditorium on the ground floor of the main building, located at 1509 Wilson Terrace, Glendale. Participants will learn how to plan and care for their aging loved ones.
The purpose of this lecture is to engage, educate and motivate community members about the family challenges faced in caring for an elderly, frail or dependent family member.
For most people, planning and caring for our aging loved ones is not something we even think about until we are faced with the situation.
Yet, there are many resources available on a local basis in the following categories - aging at-home & in-home care options; alternative housing choices; healthcare & medical-based services; community-based mental health services; geriatric care managers & consultants; legal, financial & insurance concerns; consumer information & resource guides; end-of-life decisions & hospice and specialty products.
For more information, or to register for the lecture, please call Glendale Adventist Medical Center at 818-409-8100.
Light refreshments will be served.
