All About You! Wellness BootCamp (AAY!) is hosting an eight-week training program to prepare runners and walkers for Glendale's first annual Downtown Dash, a 5K race presented by
downtownglendale.com and benefiting Glendale Adventist Medical Center's Stroke Center.
AAY! Trainers
Narina Tatoussian and
Elaine Miller will spend the next eight weeks preparing runners and walkers to build endurance, develop better running form and improve their overall running or walking time.
Each training session is followed by a mini-lecture that will further prepare the 5K participants to remain injury-free throughout their training.
"Many people believe they are not capable of completing a 5K, but everyone has the potential to do so. Our eight-week training program will help anyone, regardless of their current fitness level, to finish the race," said Miller.
Training sessions are taking every Sunday through March 2, from 8-9:30 a.m. Verdugo Park. You can join at any time. Participation fee is $20, which will benefit the Glendale Adventist Medical Center's Stroke Center.
Participants interested in the training sessions should contact Miller 818-437-5523 or visit

"With so many people making New Year's resolutions, this is a perfect way for people to get involved in a program that will help them achieve a new fitness goal," stated Tatoussian.
"The 5K Downtown Dash is a great fundraiser for Glendale Adventist Medical Center and brings the community together for a great cause. Our goal at AAY! is to help people beat the obesity statistics and have a more active and fit lifestyle. When people are active they feel better about themselves and are more motivated to transform their eating habits and lifestyles," Miller added.
