The Los Angeles Premiere of "The All Female 1929 Skidoo Review,"
written and directed by award-winning Eugene H. Butler, and produced by Audrey Marlyn Singer, opens Friday, February 22, 8:00 pm, for eight weeks, running Friday and Saturday, 8:00 pm, Sunday, 3:00 pm through April 13, 2008. Dark March 23.
The stage comes alive when a ninety-five year old former vaudevillian, the last surviving
member of 'The All Female 1929 Skidoo Revue,' finds out that the old Regal Theater where she used to perform in a popular vaudeville show is about to be torn down. She fears that when the theater is gone, there will be nothing left to remind people of those glorious days of vaudeville.
In hopes of preserving those memories, she persuades her skeptical and reluctant companion, her great, great granddaughter, to sneak into the theater with her the night before the building
is to be torn down. Once inside, suddenly, magically, the stage comes to life for them with one last performance of 'The All Female 1929 Skidoo Revue.'
Experience the wonderful entertainment of yesteryear, with heart-warming memories of the world of vaudeville featuring an exuberant all-girl review of music, song, dance and comedy skits from the era performed by eight beautiful and talented women.
