The Oakmont League honors Glendale students

On May 23, the Oakmont League of Glendale awarded scholarships to studentsfrom local high schools and Glendale Community College. Ann Wacker, scholarship chair, along with Sue Doughty and Dr. Dawn Lindsay helped in the presentations.

The Oakmont League is the women's auxiliary of the Oakmont Country Club in Glendale.

Aftera luncheon at the Oakmont Country Club, the recipients were awarded scholarships to honor their hard work and dedication. Each student rose and spoke brieflyabout their goals and dreams for their future.

The recipients from
Glendale College were Haig Diradourian, Joy Kim, Areg Abcarians, Sioneh Paria, Angela Rodriquez and the scholarship for the fine arts endowment went to Farrah Chamseddine.

The high school students who were recognized were Ava Khomami-Fayaz from Glendale High, Ani Hakobyan from Hoover High, Ingrid Beerer from Cresenta Valley High, Nick Lee, Clark Magnet and Kelvin Kim from A.F. Daly High School.

The Oakmont League takes pride in honoring these fine students as they will learn and grow to soon be a pillar in our community.
