Community leaders, physicians, sponsors, donors and volunteers of Verdugo Hills Hospital (VHH) attended the 17th annual Golf Classic at the Valencia Country Club on May 12 to help raise funds for the community hospital.
The hospital's signature fundraising event was sold out and raised $185,000.
Tournament Co-Chair
Dave Elliott
was pleased with the results.
"Valencia Country Club is an excellent course, and we had a great day of competition. Most importantly, we were pleased to meet our goal of raising $185,000 for the hospital," Elliott said. "
Dick Cook
, my co-chair, and I are both long-time members of the VHH Foundation Board and are strong supporters of the hospital because we have both personally benefited from having this resource in our community. It was a pleasure to help with this event."
"We are both very happy that this year's tournament was, once again, a tremendous success for the Hospital due to our tremendous co-chairs, the committee, numerous volunteers and all of the participants," said Steve Wilder, who served as co-tournament director, along with his wife, Sue.
"Everyone made the day a special one and one to remember," Sue said.
The lead tournament sponsors were:
Eagle Sponsors - The Walt Disney Studios and Horizon Health and Birdie Sponsor Technicolor, Inc.
Par Sponsors included: Aon, Cogdell Spencer Advisors, Copy-R Office Solutions, Cornerstone Research, Delta Health Systems, Dr. Pepper, HFS Consultants, in partnership with Contract Support Services, Marsh and Professional Business Bank.
