Guidlines for submitting Kids' Letters

MAILING LETTERS
Parents and teachers should make sure that the student's name, address, age and school are CLEARLY PRINTED on the letters and backs of drawings.

Pictures should be drawn using black or dark blue ink or dark pencil on white, unlined paper.

Drawings must be no larger than a standard 8 1/2-by-11 inch sheet of paper.

Send entries to:
Kids' Letters,
Daily News Features Department,
P.O. Box 4200,
Woodland Hills, CA 91365-4200.

Contributors whose letters or drawings are selected will receive a Daily News T-shirt.

POSTING LETTERS ONLINE
First, register to the site. If you're under 13, have your parents register for you.

Click on theShare a Letter button in the Kids' Letters box on the home page.

Type in a headline.

Write up your letter in a Word-type document first, then cut and paste the letter into the text box provided.

To upload a photo or scanned drawing, click on AttachImages at bottom of the screen. Click on Classic uploader. Browse for your photo or scanned drawing. Click OK. Put your name as the person who provided the artwork. Type a short caption.

Click Upload. After the green bar goes across the screen, click on Complete.

Click on Preview.

If everything looks OK, click on Publish. If not, click Back to Edit.
