Well, I am saying goodbye to valleynews.com. I am returning to the world of reporting, this time for dailynews.com where I will be writing news starting at 5:30 a.m., picking up the stories of mayhem, madness and the bizarre from overnight and posting them directly to the Web. In this brave new world of news companies building their Web sites, becoming 24-hour operations, not only will I be writing stories, but I will also be shooting video and writing scripts for audio reports and creating a whole slew of mutimedia packages.

Valleynews.com, this citizen journalism project, has been a great experience. I have been proud to meet you, and incite you to post stories that you care about. I was pleased to see many people finding their their voices, writing blogs, breaking news and showcasing their passions and those of their family members. Thank you all for participating and making Burbank and Glendale some of the busiest sites on valleynews.com. And please keep the stories coming. You'll have a new excellent Web host in Mark Kellam.
