9th annual MVP Basketball Camp in Burbank

Sign-ups are underway for the ninth annual MVP Basketball Camp, which will be held July 21-25 at Luther Burbank Middle School in Burbank for boys and girls in fifth through eighth grades.

The camp sponsored by the Burbank Park, Recreation and Community Services Department will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

The cost of the camp is $80 and includes a T-shirt, duffle bag, player profile card, player handbook of self-help drills, certificate of participation, free-throw contests, guest speakers, raffle prizes, pool and pizza party.

Instruction in basketball fundamentals, games, station drills, indidvidual and team defense, shooting, passing, dribbling, ball handling, footwork and rebounding fundamentals will be taught by local high school and college players and coaches.

The camp will be directed by longtime local coach Mike Graceffo, who has more than 27 years of coaching experience at various levels of basketball. The camp is limited to 60 sign-ups.
