'Go Skate Day' celebration at Burbank Skatepark

To help celebrate the nation-wide "Go Skate Day" and to help bring awareness to the pure essence and enjoyment of skateboarding, the Burbank Park, Recreation and Community Services Department will host a day-long celebration at the Burbank Skatepark, located at Valley Park, 1625 N. Valley St. Burbank.

The event will be held from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, June 21.

Activites scheduled include live DJ Music by 1st dance, raffle prizes given throughout the day, free Domino's pizza donated by Burbank Domino's stores, contests and free admission all day.

The Burbank Skatepark is open all summer. The hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, 1-9 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The skatepark can be rented for private parties. All skaters must have a signed waiver form on file and must wear a helmet, elbow pads and knee pads in order to skate at the park.

BBQ'S are offered on Friday evenings. Annual passes are also sold at the park.
