Burbank Skate Park's five-year anniversary bash

The Burbank Skate Park, nestled in beautiful Valley Park, will celebrate fiveyears of service to Burbank and the surrounding communities the weekend of Jan. 11-13.
Valley Park is located at 1625 N. Valley St., Burbank
Some of the activities scheduled for the weekend include a BBQ on Friday at 6:30 p.m., a beginner's skate clinic on Saturday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and live DJ music from noon-3 p.m. by John Brennan, JB Moblie DJ.
On Sunday, the Active Ride Shop from Burbank will be sending out the Burbank Skate Team to do a demo, and Active will also conduct a best trick contest for the kids and will be giving out some prizes as well.
The skate park's hours of operation for the weekend will be as follows: Friday 3:30- 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Dominoe's Pizza will also be on hand to give out free pizza.
Annual passes are available at the skate park for $40 for Burbank residents and $50 for non-residents. They are good for a year.
All skaters must be registered and have a parent signed waiver on file in order to skate at the park.
A parent must be present to sign the waiver. All skaters are required to wear a helmet, elbow pads and knee pads.
The skate park is also available to rent out for parties and special events.
