Glendale Centre Theatre's fall production of
Catch Me If You Can is a brilliant who-dunnit mystery that will keep you guessing until the very end. Directed by
George Strattan (who himself played the lead role 23 years ago), you can be sure of an evening of top-notch entertainment.Feast your eyes on his beautifully dressed and detailed set while the overture plays, because after that, all your attention will be on the action.
Talented
Brenton Schraff plays Daniel Corbin, a distraught husband, whose wife has gone missing while on their honeymoon. Inspector Levine (
Craig Patton) doggedly investigates the case while trying to keep the husband calm. But it's not until Father Kelleher (
Don Woodruff) brings home "the wife" (
Ferrell Marshall) that things begin to get complicated. Audience loyalties swing from one character to another, never sure who to believe, while the suspense steadily mounts to a nearly unbearable climax.
You'll find comedy, action, suspense and surprises in
Catch Me If You Can. "The final 15 minutes will reward you as a murder mystery should," (N.Y. Times). "A cheerful game of homicide and red herrings" (N.Y. Post) is what the critics have said.
