Harry and
Terry Lloyd of Burbank celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 19 at Castaways in Burbank.
They were married on Oct. 28, 1956 in Brooklyn, New York.
They met at a Christmas trim-the-tree party in Long Island, NY. Harry lived in upper Manhattan and commuted by subway to Brooklyn to woo Terry.
Harry graduated from Commerce High School in New York City in 1947. He worked as a salesman and is a songwriter with songs recorded by
Frank Sinatra,
Anne Murray,
Cher and
The Carpenters.
Terry graduated from James Madison High School in Brooklyn in 1948. She worked as a secretary at Savings Bank Trust Co. New York, Weber Bread in Glendale and Safari Inn in Burbank.
They have two children:
Gregory Lloyd of Reseda and
Jeffrey Lloyd of Calabasas. They have one grandson.
