TODAY'S TOPIC: If you had your own newspaper, what would it be called and what would be in it?
You learn many, many things from a newspaper, important things and not so important things. For example, you can learn about things that are useful like recent events, the weather, movie times and local news. There are also things that people enjoy but aren't all that important like the crossword, the Sudoku puzzle and the headlines on drugged actresses in rehab. If I had a newspaper, I would call it Your World Daily, because that's what the newspaper is. It's news about your world daily!

What newspapers do is help us find out about sports and you can get coupons for food. If I were to create my own newspaper, it would be about helping people in need and to stop and think of how we can save people's lives with some shelter and some food. Think of how you can change people's lives by only donating money. I will name my newspaper Stop and Think.

One of the things a newspaper helps you with is recipes. Some other things are movie reviews, news that you would want to know and obituaries of people you know who died. If I could design a newspaper, it would be a newspaper of recipes and food to try. There would be a lot of appetizing photos. Everyone would buy it if they do not watch the Food Network or like to go on their web site.

One of the things I could learn from the newspaper is how to find a job. If I could design a newspaper, I would name it The Kids' Newspaper. I would name it that because it will only be for kids. In the newspaper, I would put funny stories, scary stories and other stories. I would put in scary and funny pictures. I would also put important news that kids need to know.

If I were to design a newspaper, it would be a neighborhood newspaper. A newspaper where if you wanted to find a restaurant that was close and quite good, you could look in my newspaper. If you needed to find a special shop, you would look in my newspaper or you could find new shops opening or other neighborhood news. This is a good kind of newspaper.

The thing you can learn from a newspaper is how the weather is going to turn out to be. You can also learn how you can recycle things and save the Earth. If I were to write a report for the newspaper and name it, I will call it "School Lunches." It will be about if you are eating healthy at school. Some of the pictures that I would put in are of the cafeteria and some lunch ladies. I would ask what they put in school lunches.

If I could make any newspaper, I would call it Music HQ. The paper would be all about current music news, like the Grammy's. It would have complete coverage on new bands and biographies on old classics. The paper would also sell concert tickets to upcoming shows.

I would name my newspaper Game News, because I like games. In the news you would have to write what, why and how to play the game. It would be fun to make a Games News.

I think there are many elements that a newspaper has to have to be successful. A newspaper has to have many different types of things to describe. A newspaper has to have a current news section, sports, movie reviews and stocks in it. If a newspaper does not have things to satisfy all people, it will not be as successful as other papers. If I were to design a newspaper, I would call it The Politic Station. It would cover politics, stocks and the dollar value.

You can learn about when movies come out. You can learn about big activities. If I were to design a newspaper, I would name it Hailey Comics and More. It would be named that because the newspaper would be almost all comics. The rest of it would be comments about movies and some sports. I would put in good stories that tell about things that can help the planet.

If I could create my own newspaper, it would be about the performances all around California. I would talk about musicals, ballets and anything else that would be fun to watch. I would call my newspaper Take a Bow. It would be for all ages. It would have a list of performances that would be right for each age group. It would also feature a weekly contest where you could win tickets to the performance of their choice. It would also feature articles written by people ages 9 to adult who are in performances and they would write about the experience. All people would have fun reading this newspaper.

You can learn just about anything from newspapers. The first thing I learned is they have sections like calendar, comics, business and sports. If I made a newspaper, I would name it Bobbitt's News because Bobbitt is my last name and it's the news. I would put in interesting stories like stuff about pets. There would be photos of different places and stuff about webkinz.

The newspaper can be so boring but, if I read it I might learn something, like in this article: "If you put so much sugar in your meal everyday, you will get hyper a lot!" If I had my own newspaper, I would make it fun to read so it wouldn't be boring. I'd call it Funny and Silly News. It would make people laugh. I'd design my newspaper to be black and white but read all over!
