Verdugo Hills community hike coming up
Contributed by: Carol Mercado on 10/24/2007

On Saturday, Nov. 3, put on your hiking boots and join the communities of Burbank, Glendale and other cities and organizations surrounding the Verdugo Mountains for a day of exploring the hiking trails and points of interests in the Verdugos.

The fee is $10 per person, which includes breakfast or lunch at the top and a souvenir.

There will be first-aid and water stations on the trail, along with support communications from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Hikers have a choice of two starting points: The Stough Canyon Nature Center in Burbank or La Tuna Canyon Trailhead. Trailrunners will start at Brand Park in Glendale.

There is also the "Hike Lite," which will start from Stough Canyon Nature Center at 9 a.m.
