DETAILS: Tri-Valley Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and competition in 14 sports at 23 venues to more than 950 special athletes with mental handicaps/developmental disabilities throughout the San Fernando Valley, Burbank, Glendale, Calabasas/Agoura and surrounding areas. We give our special athletes continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community, free. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Burbank has long supported the programs of Tri-Valley Special Olympics. Tri-Valley Special Olympics is reaching out to young athletes in the area through the "future" Olympians program. Since we do not receive any financial support from the government, our funds must come from grants, individual and corporate donations and from this event that we are planning at the Ronald Reagan Library.
