Tomahawk World Premiere Musical Play at Actors Forum Theatre
The San Fernando Valley Musical Theater and Earth Productions present the World Premiere of
Tomahawk, a musical play written and directed by James Domine, with music by the Screaming Clams. The play runs Fridays and Saturdays, at 8:00 pm, and Sundays, at 2:00 pm, through June 15, 2008, at Actors Forum Theatre in the NoHo Arts District.
Tomahawk, based on James Domine's novel,
The Naked Man, is a brutally honest story of tortured relationships in a sometimes funny, sometimes desperate search for love as the conflicting emotions of youth evolve into the delusional quandaries of middle-age.
Set in suburban Los Angeles,
Tomahawk's characters act out a true-to-life contemporary drama in the quest for truth. The audience listens in on intimate 'sideways' type bar conversations about love, war, lust, and betrayal that delve into a range of issues - - political, social, spiritual - - as well as less lofty topics like missing beer and drunken buffoonery.
Tomahawk challenges our notions of who we are today. It is a quest for truth, and what happens as a result of truth's absence, its obscurity and elusiveness.
