Van Bloem Singers looking for singers
Contributed by: Elaine Poanessa on 2/14/2007

The Van Bloem Singers have just completed their 11th season and have performed over 250 shows, all of which were very enthusiastically received. Auditions are being held for singers who are interested in performing Broadway and contempory music. It's open to all ages, and being able to "sight read" is not necessary.

Singers who are able to perform between the hours of noon and 3 p.m.
on a weekday, are especially welcome, and on an occasional evening or weekend as well. Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. in Burbank.

This busy and talented group of singers perform over 25 shows each year for service clubs, volunteer organizations, retiree and church groups, senior residences, and other charitable organizations. Singers need not make every performance.

The group's repertoire includes "The Music of Broadway",
"Showstoppers", "Music Americana", "Music of the Forties", "Music
of the Movies", " Music of the Islands", and "Music for the Holidays. For more information, call Elaine Paonessa, musical director, at (818) 845-6851.
