Students from BCR: A Place to Grow in Burbank recently completed a 10-week dance program at the Burbank YMCA, instructed by
Wendy Young of Bethune Theatredanse's Infinite Dreams program for special education youth.
Seen at their recent culmination event for friends and family at the Y are the students who performed to "Staying Alive" by the Bee Gees from the movie "Saturday Night Fever."
Bethune Theatredanse & Infinite Dreams, a nonprofit organization in Hollywood was founded by
Zina Bethune, former New York City Ballet member, now executive/artistic director of 28-year-old dance company.
Infinite Dreams is the educational outreach program for youth with disabilities held in sites in Pasadena, Burbank, North Hollywood, Los Angeles and Orange County.
BCR "A Place to Grow" is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that has operated in the city of Burbank since 1963. The center provides day activity and extended day programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
It is the mission of BCR to provide quality programs and services that will enable its clients to achieve their individual potentials and become increasingly self reliant, well-integrated, and contributing members of their families and communities.
