Burbank School District holds teacher job fair

The Burbank Unified School District will host its second annual District Job Recruitment Fair for Secondary and Special Education Credentialed Teachers at Burbank High School on Saturday, May 3.

Last year, the district's first job fair was hosted at John Burroughs High School and was considered to be very successful, with approximately 100 candidates visiting the fair.

This year, the event is anticipated to attract more prospective teachers. The district is particularly interested in recruiting qualified teachers in the fields of English, science, math, foreign languages, counselors, speech pathologists and special education.

There will be principals and assistant principals from the high schools, middle schools and elementary schools, as well as district-level staff from the special education and human resourcesservices departments.

The job fair will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Burbank High School cafeteria and will end at 11 a.m.

Potential candidates will have the opportunity to meet with principals and learn the hiring processes of the district.

Applicants are encouraged tto apply online at www.burbankusd.organd to bring their resume, copy of credentails, letters of reference and other pertinent information.

Parking is available in the Burbank High School parking structure.
