Hard work, a daily plan and determination are keys to success, said Burbank Realtor Brad Korb to students in Glendale Community College's Real Estate Practice class recently.
The students had a lot of questions for
Korb when he and Sales Manager
Shandi DeHaven visited the class recently.
"Brad knew how to answer them because he's been in the business for quite awhile," said instructor
Jack Flynn. "His relaxed attitude is pleasant and informed."
DeHaven said she and Korb talked about what it's like to work for RE/MAX and how Korb's team concept makes his office different from the norm.
"Our office works so well for agents and clients because Brad is the listing agent, and then we have a buyers' agent division. It allows agents to better focus their abilities and resources, which results in better service for clients."
"It's all about basics and hard work," Korb said. "If you have determination, you will succeed, but it's important to set up a daily plan to achieve your goals."
The class of about 18 students, who ranged in age from the 20s to 50s, was made up "of people from amazing backgrounds," said Flynn.
School teachers, a social worker who's helped families relocate, an architect, and multi-lingual immigrants from Europe and other parts of the world were all part of the classroom mix, Flynn said.
"Brad is a very good resource for my students," he added.
