The innovative and creative business practices of
Brad Korb recently got the attention of an internationally respected real estate educator - and landed Korb on a very short list that includes the top one percent of real estate agents in North America.
Korb learned on Nov. 25 that
Howard Brinton, famous in the real estate industry for his Star Power Club interviews with the best real estate agents in the world, wants Korb to be among the agents he'll feature in his Star Power series in the coming months.
Korb will be one of 12 chosen for 2008 out of more than 1million Realtors across the U.S. and Canada.
Featured agents typically close more than 200 transactions per year (as opposed to the national average of 12 transactions per year) and enjoy sharing their ideas and knowledge with up-and-coming agents.
According to Korb, Brinton's interviews are available in CDs and magazines distributed to real estate agents throughout North America who subscribe to Brinton's Star Power Club.
The series began in 1989 as part of Brinton's hugely successful seminars, motivational presentations, and education systems for the real estate industry.
"I think Howard likes some of the unique ways I've kept up with the dynamic real estate industry," Korb said. "I constantly strive to find new approaches to improve how I serve my clients."
Korb, who has been a real estate agent in Burbank since 1979, said some of the things that he does that help make him successful include: his own community newspaper
The Burbank Bulletin; a moving truck that he makes available to clients; commercials on local television; and designating members of his "team" to fulfill job descriptions such as "Customer Care Coach."
He is also deeply and actively involved in community events throughout the year.
"I've learned a lot from Howard over the years," Korb said. "I'm very honored that he's invited me to be a 'Star.' I welcome the chance to share my ideas with other agents through the Star Power series because the better that real estate agents can serve their clients, the better it is for everybody."
