Grab your bike, your family and your friends and join the Magical Magnolia Bicycle Tour, a free cycling exploration of the Magnolia Park neighborhood, from 3-7 p.m. Saturday, May 24.
Make it a day of fresh air and fun as you pedal around this quaint Burbank neighborhood, stopping by the dozens of shops and restaurants offering free gifts and treats.
Discover new shopping and dining spots, check out cycling-related booths and pick up free goodies from the participating shops and restaurants.
Visit at least eight of the participating merchants and receive a complimentary gift at the end of the tour!
Registration begins at 3 p.m. on Chandler Bikeway at California Street. There will be will be numerous booths along the bikeway that showcase bicycle-related organizations such as Burbank Bike, the city of Burbank Department of Transportation's initiative to promote bicycle travel; Cyclists Inciting Change through Live Exchange (C.I.C.L.E.), a Los Angeles-based organization that promotes cycling as a viable, healthy and sustainable transportation choice; Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, encouraging healthy outdoors activity, and The Burn, a Burbank indoor cycling studio specializing in spin classes.
Once cyclists are registered, they are free to explore Magnolia Park at their own pace by using a special "passport" that leads them to participating shops and restaurants.
Once the passport is stamped at eight or more locations, participants may return to the registration area prior to 7 p.m., where they are eligible for a complimentary gift, courtesy of Magnolia Park Partnership.
Included will be two bicycle giveaways offered by Providence St Joseph Medical Center.
In addition to exploring the neighborhood, there will be opportunities to try indoor cycling - outdoors! Bicycle John's and The Burn Studio will be presenting free spin classes and demonstrations at the registration area:
Spin demonstrations will be presented at 3:30 and 6 p.m. A trial class will be held at 4:45 p.m. and is open to all fitness levels. Participants must 16 or older.

Magical Magnolia Bicycle Tour is presented by the Magnolia Park Partnership, which is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the Magnolia Park district.
Magnolia Park includes an established residential community of 3,000 homes and more than 500 neighborhood businesses on Magnolia Boulevard between Buena Vista and the city limit, and Hollywood Way between Clark and Chandler.
Other activities produced by the partnership include Be-Boppin' in the Park in August, and Holiday in the Park in November.
