Second Annual Optimist Dads' Day Dash

De-'FEET"-ing childhood cancer one foot at a time is what the Optimist Dads' Day Dash is all about.
This year's dash will run on Saturday, June 14, in Woodland Hills. It begins at Warner Center Park, 21820 Califa Ave. (5800 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Woodland Hills 91367).
It benefits the UCLA Mattel's Children's Hospital Cancer Program and the Kids Cancer Connection.
The race features 5K, 10K and 1K Kiddie runs, computer chip timing, a measured course which meets USTAF standards, goodie bags, raffles, celebrities and more.
Also, each participant receives a commemorative T-shirt with an American flag over the heart, in celebration of Flag Day, June 14.

On-site registration and packet pickup starts after 6 a.m. the day of the race. The run will start at 7:30 a.m.
Pre-race packet pickup and late registration will be available on Friday, June 13, at Roadrunner Sports, 6745 Fallbrook Ave., West Hills 91307 from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
The race is open to men, women and children of all ages. Early registration fee is $25 until June 7, after that $30. Kids are $5 (free with $25 in pledges or with a parent entry).
Major sponsors to date include LA City Councilman
Dennis Zine, Roadrunner Sports, CRA/LA, AXA Associates, Westfield Promenade Mall, KOST103. FM,Marriott, Big 'O' Tire, Comerica Bank, and LA Fitness. The Canoga Park Elks Club will donate an American flag for every goodie bag.
