Burbank police arrested Calvin Broadus, a.k.a. "Snoop Dogg" as he left his appearance on the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" in Burbank on Nov. 28 after 6 p.m., said Burbank Police Sgt. Kevin Grandalski.
The 35-year-old rapper was booked after a search warrant was issued for his person, his Diamond Bar residence, his personal vehicle, and other vehicles and his associates, police said.
The search warrant was served as part of an investigation into his previous arrest on Oct. 26 at the Bob Hope Airport in Burbank.
The previous arrest was for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and for transportation of marijuana. After that arrest, Mr. Broadus was released on $35,000.00 bail.
Police say Broadus is a convicted felon and an admitted "Rolling 20's Crips" gang member who continues to associate with other "Crips" criminal street gang members.
After being served with a search warrant, Broadus was arrested again for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and for transportation of marijuana.
He was also arrested for being in the possession of a false compartment in his vehicle and for having cocaine. He is expected to post the $60,000.00 bail.
Two of Mr. Broadus associates were also arrested. Michael Mingo, 33, of Lakewood, was booked on suspicion of possession of burglary tools. Lovell Polk, 36, of Moreno Valley, was booked on an outstanding warrant. Both men are admitted "Crips" criminal street gang members, police said.
