Lancaster applicants for architectural/design

The city of Lancaster is seeking applicants for the Architectural/Design Planning Commission that will be appointed by the City Council on July 8.

This commission, formed under the direction of the City Council, will be involved with the development and recommendation to the Council of new residential, commercial and industrial design standards, as well as the revision of existing standards.

It will also hear appeals in the case of a discrepancy between the design standards presented by city staff and those presented by a developer.
To be eligible to be an Architectural/Design Planning Commissioner, applicants must reside in the city of Lancaster.

Applications are available on the city's Web site at www.cityoflancasterca.org and should be submitted to the Lancaster City Clerk's Department by July 7.

Those who applied for the original planning commission do not need to fill out additional paperwork. They may have their applications transferred to the Architectural/Design Planning Commission by contacting the City Clerk's Department.

Lancaster City Hall is located at 44933 N. Fern Ave. The City Clerk's Department is on the second floor.
