City of Palmdale to host Halloween safety event

The city of Palmdale will host a free Halloween safety presentation from 7-8 p.m.Tuesday, Oct 14, at the City Council Chamber, 38300 Sierra Highway, Suite B.

"Halloween is meant to be a fun holiday but it can also be a scary time for parents and children alike," said Palmdale Crime Prevention Officer Ruth Oschmann. "It's important to know basic safety tips before children go out trick or treating."

The seminar is geared toward parents and will cover simple tips on costume and trick-or-treat safety, appropriate Halloween behavior and many other helpful hints and tips. Oschmann and fellow Crime Prevention Officer Kery German will facilitate the presentation.
