Housing Rights Center searching for testers
Contributed by: John Mlynar on 10/3/2008

The City of Palmdale and the Housing Rights Center are looking for testers in the Antelope Valley who would like to make some extra money while fighting for social justice and housing rights.

Testers are trained individuals who assist the Housing Rights Center to investigate housing discrimination complaints.

The Housing Rights Center is a nonprofit agency that works to help provide equal housing access to all residents in the communities it serves.

The center assists homebuyers, tenants and housing professionals with free counseling services on fair housing law, public education seminars on housing discrimination and housing discrimination complaint investigation.

Housing rights clinics are held on the third Thursday of every month in the city of Palmdale's development services building, 38250 Sierra Highway.

The clinics provide an opportunity for residents to ask questions and receive answers about fair housing, rent increases, repairs and more.

For more information, contact Emily Nathon with the Housing Rights Center at 800-477-5977, ext. 22.
