Rancho Sierra Golf Course in Lancaster recentlynamed
Joshua Hudson
as its new golf course superintendent.
Hudson, a longtime Tehachapi resident, has previously worked asassistant superintendent under
Bob Dacey
at Tierra Del Sol Golf Course in California City and has his own construction company called "Under Construction."
He attended Tehachapi High School.
Hudson is also looking forward to becoming a PGA teaching professional in 2009, and will assist
John Chopp
, head teaching professional at Rancho Sierra, with the teaching programs at the golf course.
"Rancho Sierra is already a great place to play and to learn golf. I look forward to taking the course to the next level of excellence and playability, as well as working on projects such as the addition of new tee boxes and sand bunkers," Hudson said.
"We are very excited to have Josh on board to take over maintenance and enhancement of the course," said
Tim Aiken
, owner of Rancho Sierra Golf Course. "Josh has a wealth of knowledge in both landscaping and construction. He also has in-depth experience in both employee and project management - skills that will come in handy as golf course superintendent at Rancho Sierra. In addition to having boundless energy, Josh has a love and excitement for the game of golf, and he will be a great addition to the customer service aspect of our business."
Hudson will start the position in early September and can be reached at Rancho Sierra at 661-946-1080 or via e-mail at josh@ranchosierragolf.com.
