Lockheed Federal Credit Union (LFCU), one of the largest credit unions in the nation, is sponsoring the United Way campaign kickoff with the Lancaster JetHawks at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at Clear Channel Stadium, 45116 Valley Central Way, Lancaster.
To further show support, LFCU's
Mike Twomey, senior vice president of sales, will participate in the pre-game ceremony.
"We are pleased to partner with the United Way again this year, as we've worked with them in the past," Twomey said. "It is a privilege to participate in the community by helping families get to the ballpark in these difficult economic times, and to also support United Way's efforts."
The United Way of Antelope Valley helps to create pathways out of poverty by bringing together community leaders to meet basic needs like food and shelter, improve the educational achievement of youth and provide hardworking families with the financial opportunities to move out of poverty and rebuild their lives.
LFCU's Palmdale branch is located at 1011 Lockheed Way, next to the Lockheed Martin plant.
