Next week's "Walk with the Mayor" activities will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 26, and Thursday, Aug. 28, from 8-9 a.m. at Lancaster City Park located at 10th Street West and Avenue K-8.
On both days, the group will meet at the Stanley Kleiner building.
The "Walk with the Mayor" program not only provides for ongoing public access to the Mayor, City officials, and City management, but also reinforces the City's stance on building a healthy community.
These twice-a-week walks help participants improve their physical fitness and overall health. The walks also give residents a chance to talk one-on-one with city officials and staff and discuss the important issues affecting them amidst an informal and relaxing park setting.
Fitness instructor
Laura Wright
supervises the walks and also teaches senior-targeted stretch and tone classes at Lancaster City Park from 9-10 a.m. on Mondays through Thursdays.
For more information about this program, contact Lancaster Recreation Supervisor
Angela Riley
at 661-723-6074.
