The Palmdale Playhouse presents Allaire Koslo's critically acclaimed one-woman show titled "Purple Breasts," an evening of powerful theatre and thought-provoking discussion to mark national Breast Cancer Awareness Month at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18.
The Palmdale Playhouse is located at 38334 10th St. East in Palmdale. Tickets are $15.
The show will be followed by a panel discussion featuring local health care professionals and breast cancer patients and their families.
"Allaire's show has won praise from so many people for its ability to handle the topic of breast cancer and all the truths and myths that surround it," said Palmdale Playhouse Cultural Arts/Theatre Manager
Dea McAllister
. "It's informative and entertaining and really brings the entire issue out into the open."
Booths and tables will be set up in the Playhouse lobby with information and professionals will be available to answer questions and educate patrons about this important topic.
Tickets for upcoming events may be purchased 24 hours a day on the Playhouse Web site at
www.cityofpalmdale.org/playhouse
.
