Tickets are selling fast for the recently added second show for local musical favorites, "Nuns For Fun" to be held on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 2 pm at the Palmdale Playhouse. The Playhouse is located at 38334 10th St. East in Palmdale.
"Their 8 pm show sold out weeks ago," said Palmdale Playhouse Marketing Manager David Smith. "When we added the 2 pm show tickets began to go quickly for that one as well," Smith added.
"After more than 17 years in the Antelope Valley, the popular music and comedy act has decided to 'kick the habit' and call it quits," said Smith. "This will be the final opportunity for most community members to see the group perform. With outstanding vocals and musicianship the cast of 'Nuns For Fun' puts a humorous and yet profound twist on traditional Christmas celebrations."
"They've performed in many venues and festivals in the area to the delight of audiences everywhere," Smith added. "Their previously scheduled performances at the Playhouse have all sold out well in advance."
For both "Nuns For Fun" shows, the Playhouse lobby will be filled with holiday decorations and Santa will be on hand to take holiday wishes from young and old alike. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors, students, military and youth. Those wishing to see the show are encouraged to get their tickets early, since this added performance is also expected to sell out.
Tickets for this and other upcoming events may be purchased 24 hours a day on the Playhouse Web site at www.cityofpalmdale.org/palmdaleplayhouse. For further information please call the 24-hour Arts Hotline at 661/267-2787 or the box office at 661/267-5685.
