Palmdale Playhouse choirs accepting new members

The Palmdale Playhouse Visual and Performing Arts Program is accepting new members for the Palmdale Children's Choir and the Palmdale Community Choir.

All classes are held at the Palmdale Playhouse, 38334 10th Street East in Palmdale.

The children's choir is for young singers ages 7-12 and the community choir for singers 13 and older.

Both choirs rehearse on Tuesday evenings. The children's choir meets from 5-6 p.m. and community choir from 6-8 p.m. The classes will meet through December when the programs will present the 12th annual Spirit of the Holidays performances.

The program fee for becoming a member of each program is $70 for Palmdale residents and $75 for nonresidents. Members of the Palmdale Playhouse Visual and Performing Arts program receive a discount on tickets purchased to other Playhouse events.

A second session, running from January through May 2009, will culminate with the 12th annual Summer Celebration performances.
