Palmdale Playhouse Offers Oil Painting Workshop

The Palmdale Playhouse Visual Arts Group will hold a workshop entitled "Oil Painting Landscape Style" on Tuesday, Oct. 14 from 6 to 9 pm at the Palmdale Playhouse, 38334 10th Street East.

Artist Laurie Christensen teaches the hands-on workshop. One of a series of visual arts workshops presented during the season, "Oil Painting Landscape Style" will instruct participants in oil painting style to create beautiful and realistic landscape art.

The workshop fee is $10 for members of the Palmdale Playhouse Visual Arts Group. Admission for nonmembers is $20. Contact the Palmdale Playhouse for purchase of supplies.

The Visual Arts Group meets on various Tuesday evenings throughout the season to promote art and artists in the community by providing a supportive environment for exhibition, education, discussion and appreciation of all aspects of the visual arts. Other Visual Arts Group workshops offered this season include watercolor painting, fantasy drawing for teens, oil painting, pastel and charcoal art and stretching the imagination.
