Antelope Valley Mall welcomes Terri Gore from the American Cancer Society (ACS) at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, to its monthly mall walkers meeting.

Gore will discuss the programs and services offered by the ACS. Some of these include a transportation program for patients, support programs, support groups, Reach to Recovery and I Can Hope.

She will also discuss the benefits of getting involved with the ACS to patients and survivors as well as volunteer opportunities for those who would like to participate in ACS activities.

Mall walkers meet monthly at 7:30 a.m. in the Antelope Valley Mall food court. Meetings are scheduled for the fourth Wednesday of each month and all programs are free to the public.

High Desert Medical Groupsponsors all program speakers. The mall provides fresh coffee and free raffle tickets for retailer gift certificates. Mall doors open at 6 a.m.
